luray caverns & shenandoah valley

we had heard so many wonderful things about luray caverns, that we decided we must see for ourselves.

it was AH-MAZING.  seriously one of the neatest things ever [so cool i wrote it in all caps even].

this my friends, is actually a large pool of water [in the lower half of the picture] that reflects all of the stalactites hanging above it.  pretty neat, right?!

posin hardcore ^

so in love with this place ^ i would highly recommend it if you’re in the area!!to continue our nature appreciation day,  we decided to go hiking in Shenandoah Valley,

in the rain…

it was kind of spooky and perfect for running ahead, hiding, and scaring the bejeezes out of someone….

shane and i may have enjoyed this slightly more than bug.

after she peed in the woods for the first time.  it only took us two hours to convince her to do it and 20 seconds for her to actually do it.

#reallifedoratheexplorerand i couldn’t resist ending with this cute face and her new trend.  a bow in the center of her forehead  [major eye roll]
