hello busy season, you are rather unwelcome here. kind of like the negative degree weather we are having right about now.
“busy season” – a term us auditors use to describe a time of year when we eat at the office three meals a day and rejoice over a Sunday night off (note: this does happen to coincide with tax season, but is completely unrelated to taxes in every way, shape and form)
this is a time of year when you book cruises to the bahamas, and set your computer background to something beachy in hopes that it will give you the hope you need to carry on. later on your background becomes a picture of your family, because that is the only time you get to see them for the next three months.
the snack cabinet at work is always overflowing during this time and you blindly suck down chocolates like it’s going to ease the pain. you gladly volunteer to pick up dinner because, honestly, you would do almost anything to get out of that room for even a few minutes.
if you’re lucky you have pictures like this hanging around the office. if you’re really lucky you got it from the client themselves:
and for anyone who is is a public accountant. this website couldn’t be any more true, or hilarious. #oobernerd
and all of this just to post a warning/apology that it is “busy season” and thus my posts will more than likely be sporadic, moody, or potentially non-existent. cheers to April!!
